How do you remember the spelling? Apparently a VHS tape was found recently that had the spelling as “Berenstein Bears,” instead of Berenstain,” which may explain why so many of us remember it with the e instead of the a. If they were occasionally spelling it both ways, that would do it. There are so many things that I remember from my childhood that are now different. Specifically, The Berenstein Bears, the Fruit of the Loom logo and Thanksgiving!!! Which ones have gotten you?! . . . . . 🎥: ashleeinc
As I started introducing some of these childhood shows to my toddler, I noticed she enjoyed them, but didn’t need them. We’d watch an episode or less and when it was time to turn it off, she didn’t get upset, she just went back to playing. We don’t have a TV — just a projector. It plays softly in the background, with no blue light, and she doesn’t feel glued to the screen. We didn’t introduce screen time until after age 1, and we still keep it to just a few minutes here and there. Don’t get me wrong — we still watch Ms. Rachel sometimes! But this little change has shown us real, positive outcomes. A lot of 90’s childhood shows have lower stimulation than today’s shows & movies. I also love the messages and creative exploration a lot of 90’s shows teach children.
