Here's what I DO and DON'T like about this box dye -
❌The application instructions like a mask? You shouldn't apply hair colour all over like a hair mask
❌You don't get much actual product
❌It's runny formula
❌Advertised as multi tonal lol, why do box dyes do this
❌No mention of Olivia's bleach highlights
❌Clients when they realise it's permanent colour - the regowth plus when they want to go back blonde.
What I LIKE about it
✔️I love olivias hair colour, she slays with a warmer colour and tbh maybe I'm jealous I'm too scared to go warmer
✔️this box dye isn't that different to what a professional colour would be like in this shade, the problem is more knowing how and when to use (side note - I always thought I'd do something more like a 8/73 for Olivia's base colour)
✔️I can't think of anything else, but maybe I'll give the conditioner in the box a go because you all love box dye conditioner lol (suppose mixing in the box is quite cool tbf)
Let's face it, it's just hair.
So if you wana do it do it.🙈🙌
But also know, when you use permanent
hair colour - professional or box dye - it permanently alter the hair.
What does this mean?
Sure on top of bleach blonde it will fade, maybe even back to blonde. But when applied to natural hair it will not come out of the hair, so will remain warmer and this does not lift the same when you go back to highlights as natural hair.
Am I weird as a hairdresser I wouldn't get mad if my client did this? It's their hair.
But for me & my hair I think long term goal when using permanent hair colour.

after bleaching my hair for over 7 years (yes there have been breaks) I’ve learnt prettyyyy much everything there is to know about bleach blonde hair so here are my tips:
1. Make sure your hairdresser is a blonde specialist
2. Toner! Toner is the difference between yellow hair and a clean fresh blonde which is what I like (my hairdresser @katie.louisehale uses the L’oreal Luo Color in P01)
3. Upkeep! You need to get your roots done every 6 weeks to prevent damage (sounds strange but it’s true because too much re growth can cause problems)
4. Use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner (I have a few faves I rotate between and atm I’m loving the @functionofbeauty shown in the video)
5. Purple shampoo! Not all the time though as this will dry out your hair, but to keep your hair free from yellow this is key (the one in the video is @bondiboost new one)
6. Olaplex is life (make sure you’re using it on wet hair) I use this regularly
7. Other hair masks/ treatments (this clear @glaze_hair one is great for smoothing and shine)
8. Serum- I have a handful of faves but I love this olaplex one because it also has heat protectant in it
9. If you do use heat, tools like the @sharkbeautyuk air styler are great for keeping heat damage to a minimum
10. Silk is your best friend. I use the @slipsilkpillowcase hair cap and scrunchies
Being bleached blonde is not easy and requires a lot of maintenance but in my opinion it is SO worth it 🙌🏼

Going from bleach blonde to dark brunette takes commitment and is not for the faint of heart. Its almost as much maintenance as being a blonde at first.
But when someone is as committed as Maraya this kind of service is my favorite and so much fun. Its really challenging to see how the hair reacts to the coloring process.
