This Norwegian man is ten years into building his dream, a castle in the heart of central CA. Every brick, every piece of hardware, the doors, the design, all of it was personally crafted by him. It’s been weeks since we came home and I’m still in awe of it! 🤯 I LOVE taking my kids to see creativity at work in more unusual forms. Three more places we’ve been inspired by: 📍The St. Louis City Museum. Built by a grown up homeschooler with “crazy” ideas who had the courage to bring them to life and created an unforgettable experience that has outlived him. 📍The Underground Gardens in Fresno, CA. A hidden world created by a master arborist, dug with a pickax and shovel in the CA hard pan soil. Absolutely mindblowing! 📍 Rock Garden, in Calhoun GA. This tiny world, in the backyard of a seventh Adventist church, I found on someone’s blog as a fun roadside stop. Wewere floored by the talent and meticulous beauty created by the people who created this miniature world. What would you add to the list? What are your favorite creative places?
