So many treasures🧶🧵🪡!!! Has anyone ever been to The Sewing Basket before? They have a few locations around Sydney (Balmain, Newington, Caringbah) and sell lots of donated sewing and craft supplies that would otherwise go to landfill. I spend a lot of time browsing op shops and often the sewing supplies are limited so finding a designated place for all things craft is so exciting 😍. I was so stoked to get thread for 50c and patterns for $3 each!!!

Drowning is a very real risk when our kids are little.
We don’t share this to scare you — we share it so you understand just how vital it is to enrol your child in a swim centre that focuses on true swimming fundamentals.
Skills like turning and swimming back to the wall, knowing what it feels like to be unsupported in the water, and learning how to stay calm in the water.
This footage was taken during one of our Safety Weeks in 2025, where students practised calling out for help and using a flotation device to independently make their way back to the wall — without interference from our teachers.
It’s a new experience, and yes, it can feel a little scary…
But our kids handled it beautifully. 💙

The story of Caz the Cockie
Once there was a Cockie named Caz and he lived at the school and every day after all the kids went home he'd sit in the area and do loud screeches and stuff.
The one day this dude came and started painting a picture of him on the wall and he didn't know what was going on.
It didn't seem right so he started squawking heaps loud but the dude kept painting so Caz flew over to the dude and started attacking him and pecking at his eyes and biting his ears.
Then the dude ran off and Caz never saw him again and the half finished painting of Caz remained on the wall for the next ten years until they installed a skating rink in the spot and on the wall they put up a sign that said Skateplus and Caz's half finished portrait was finally gone and Caz breathed a sigh of relief.
