Choosing a charity to support is a powerful way to bring people together while making a real difference. By partnering with The @chartwellcancertrust, your organisation can focus its fundraising efforts on helping families affected by cancer, creating a meaningful and lasting impact. Each year we work alongside businesses, golf clubs, sports clubs, schools and community groups to raise vital funds that directly support those who need it most. Our partnerships offer rewarding opportunities for teams to get involved, strengthen community connections and see the real difference their support makes. If your organisation is currently reviewing charity partners for the year ahead, we would love to explore how we could work together. Together, we can achieve more for children and families facing cancer. What is it about support groups that makes them so supportive? 🤔 For some, it’s a space to offload their thoughts and feelings. For others, it’s about finding a community that understands what they are going through without them having to explain. And some find talking with a group helps to ease their feelings of isolation. All of these things improve individual mental well-being and resilience. If you are living with head or neck cancer and want to give the support group a try, get in touch, and we can give you some more information to make your first visit as smooth as possible. ☎️ 0151 726 8934 📧 [email protected] #LiverpoolCharity #HeadAndNeckCancerSupport #HeadAndNeckCancerMerseyside #FundraisingLiverpool #LiverpoolSunflowers #CancerSupport #CancerSupportMerseyside #LongTermIllnessSupport #ChronicIllnessSupportLiverpool
🚐 Bringing social care to the heart of our communities ❤️ Our social workers visited The Hub in Fleetwood last week as part of an initiative to make it easier for people to access early support to live independently. It was a chance for people to have strength based conversations with adult social care staff in a welcoming, informal place, with no need to make an appointment and no pressure. 🎥 Watch the video to see how these conversations help us listen to what matters to people and provide support close to home. This approach is part of our wider work to encourage earlier conversations and reduce barriers to support. Following the Fleetwood event, we will be visiting communities across Lancashire with our Promoting Health in Lancashire (PHIL) van, continuing this outreach work in neighbourhoods and at local events. A huge thank you to all at The Hub and everyone who visited us. 👉 If you or someone you support needs advice or help to stay well, call our adult social care phone line on 0300 123 6720 or visit https://orlo.uk/TZ2JF and search “Adult Social Care”. #AdultSocialCare #CommunityOutreach #LivingBetterLives #StrengthsBasedPractice
I’m pleased to announce that £140,000 of the Pride in Place Impact Fund is being harnessed to secure the future of the @citccharity hub on Waterloo Road. After the devastating flooding at the end of last year, this fantastic, accessible mental health charity has been unable to serve South Shore at a time when support has been needed in the area more than ever, particularly following the recent fire in the area. This funding, allocated by Blackpool Council from the Pride in Place funding I secured, will not only restore the hub but also fund the purchase the building, making it a true community-led and owned asset and securing its future. Counselling in the Community does incredible work supporting people’s mental health across our town. I’m proud we’ve been able to step in, protect this vital service and help make sure it can continue supporting our community for years to come. 🤝
