If you have been following me for a little while, thank you! I believe that home decor should be accessible, sustainable, and fun! My home is a mishmash of antiques, vintage inspired pieces, DIY, affordable new finds and thrift. I gravitate toward Cottage style decor, but am influenced by everything, so you can expect to often see several decor styles overlap even in one room.❤️ My home is a work in progress! My home is a 1978 cape cod style house with plenty of scope for imagination as far as renovations and my husband and I tackle one project at a time. We do as much of the work ourselves as we are able, and often teach ourselves along the way. Our renovations tend to be budget friendly. We share our home with two sets of twin children, several cats, and a few small dogs. The pets in particular feature regularly in my content as they share our home with us and it is as natural to me to see a cat lounging on a chair as to see sunlight streaming through a window. 🐈‍⬛ As for all the rest, I am a West Virginia born and raised Coal Miners daughter. With rural Appalachian roots, I just can not pull off bourgeois. I am a country girl adjusting to life outside of Metro Atlanta, hoping to get back to the mountains and the quiet rural life style that my heart calls home while I enjoy curating that feeling in my here and now. I often get asked what my decor style is called. And, while I like to answer that by relaying that my style leans towards European design(French country, English cottage). I’d also like to add that… Cozy is my style. 🤍 Not because it’s trendy, but because it’s how I want my home to feel. Soft lighting, layered textures, meaningful pieces, and spaces that invite you to slow down and stay awhile. Hi friends! I’m just now getting around to sharing my summer decor with you. Well, I’ve shared with you all in stories some of it but I haven’t made an actual reel since spring. 😬 I did some cleaning in here today so I thought I’d share our main floor bathroom with you. This room is always so fun and easy to change out as the seasons change. I just change out the wreath, the shower curtain and a few decor items on the shelves. Gives it a whole new look. It is hot as blazes here today. Feels like 100 degrees. I stayed inside today and got some chores done around here. We may get in the pool later or find a good movie to watch.
