There are not many of us Christian’s in the herbalism field, it’s true. • And when I was going to college and getting my licenses in the holistic health field over a decade ago, there definitely was not many of us! • So I’d like to put some resources together for you to help navigate this world as a believer; because nature, worship, witchcraft, occult practices, and more are sometimes so intertwined with herbalism and natural health that it can be difficult to distinguish where one ends and the other begins. • And therefore, Christians are often left wondering if Christianity and herbalism really can even really mix. • If that sounds like you, you’re not alone! 💕 • Herbal remedies seem to be rooted in pagan practices and cultures. But does that mean Christian herbalism is against the Bible? • No, no, and a million times no! B had her adenoids removed and ear tubes placed and C had ear tubes placed. Collaborative care is so important to our practice. We barely even take panadol in my house but.. When we initially got the diagnosis of severe ADHD for my son at age 5 I was ready to medicate‼️ My kids haven’t ever had antibiotics but I was ready to medicate him for his ADHD! WHY⁉️ ➡️ he was deeply unhappy in all aspects of life ➡️ his friends did not enjoy being around him anymore ➡️ his emotions were so massive it was a drain on him and everyone around him ➡️ he was way behind in year 1 my fear was how will he manage school moving forward ➡️ he was on high alert at all times which was exhausting BUT… I was worried I was making the decision to medicate him from an emotional one and not for the right reasons, so I said I’m going to take 6 months to support him holistically and if there is no change I will medicate. Fast forward 5 years and we still have not medicated. But I watch my son very closely always having the option of medication as an option. Here is what we did to support my son: 🍃 Occupational therapy 🍃 Neurofeedback 🍃 Cranial sacral therapy 🍃 Sports like karate and swimming 🍃 Yoga 🍃 A wholesome diet, with reduced gluten, dairy and sugar Now at age 10 we are doing acupuncture which is helping to be able to relax massively! One of the biggest pieces of the puzzle though was me working on regulating my nervous system. The toll on parents and their nervous system when you have a child with ADHD is HUGE! Make sure you are able to support yourself whatever that may look like. For me it was cranial sacral therapy. If at one point my son cannot manage with the holistic approach as his ADHD is having too much of a negative impact on his life then I will 100% consider medication. Everyone is doing what they think is best for their child. So if someone chooses to medicate, don’t judge. If someone chooses not to medicate, don’t judge. In fact, just don’t judge!
