An amazing day, the best of Northumberland with some great company! 🩷✨
Starting in College Valley, we walked up Hen Hole alongside all the waterfalls, one of my favourite routes, before joining the Pennine Way on the top of Auchope. We then met the rest of the group who came up a different route, before we ran back down to the valley together.
Thank you all!

Way BETTER than the Y3P’s ⛰️⛰️⛰️
What’s your favourite big day out in the UK 🇬🇧 ? Can be hiking 🥾, running 🏃🏼♂️, scrambling🧗🏻♂️ or a combo.
Here’s my top 5
1) Welsh 3000’s 🏴
2) Liathach Ridge Traverse 🏴
3) Nevis via Ledge route and back via CMD 🏴
4) Big Wasdale head circuit (up Yewbarrow and down Scafell Pike and about 10 Wainwrights in between) 🏴
5) Ogwen Valley (up Tryfan NF, Glyder Fach via Bristly and down Devils Kitchen) 🏴
What’s your favourite BIG day out?
But I think this one is my favourite in the Peak District.
Edale Skyline 💪 A proper muddy slog with great views, amazing rock formations and it’s a good challenge!

Us: still had the best time 😅
Monthly WeRunWales trail run ticked off. 12km around Reynoldston and Llanrhidian, taking in King Arthur’s Stone, Weobley Castle, and some genuinely impressive muddy trails. 8 runners, 2 dogs, a couple of new faces joining the chaos, and no trainers lost to the bog.
That’s what trail running’s all about ✌🏼
BANISHEAD QUARRY WATERFALL
From Torver to Haws Bank via Banishead Quarry where you’ll find a stunning waterfall. This 10km route will give you some beautiful views of Old Man of Coniston on a clear day (not today) ☁️
I managed to stay on my feet after slipping and sliding right until the end 😬

Snowdonia side quests🏴
Serious settings on the Gylderau range over the weekend. Find yourself a bunch of mates who see 60KM of trail running across the Welsh mountains as a weekend well spent, and I can guarantee you’ll be much happier. Your knees might not be though..
Mosedale Round done ⛰️
A proper little route this one 😌 a great mix of Wainwrights and Birketts and some cracking views all the way round. 🤩
Starting from Mosedale and ticking off:
Carrock Fell, Round Knott, Miton Hill, High Pike, Hare Stones, Great Lingy Hill, Miller Moss & Coomb Height 🙌
Definitely one worth doing if you like linking a few lesser-visited tops together.
Anyone else done this one?

Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach Circular - 10k 800m ⛰️ So nice being out in the sun ☀️more scrambling than I thought, slowed the pace down which was good for the legs today !

Dartmoor is always worth a visit if you’re in Southwest England.
Princetown to Burrator Reservoir and back. Granite underfoot, reservoir glittering at the halfway point stop for ice cream and a dog who loved every moment.

Is the Dales Way the perfect beginner’s trail? We reckon so. 🥾
129km of riverside paths, ancient drovers’ routes and packhorse trails, gently winding through the valley bottoms of the Yorkshire Dales. Spend a glorious week exploring northern England’s pastoral heritage, or make the most of the runnable terrain with a faster paced adventure.

@lisa.outdoors has a great post on her blog all about taking on the Dales Way as her first multi-day hiking too - definitely worth a read if you want to get excited about your next adventure. 😍
