Part 2 of choosing the perfect diamond ❣️ Did any of these steal your heart ? 💌
A carat (ct) is only a unit of weight, not size or quality. Two diamonds can have the same carat weight and still look very different in size. Why? Because cut, proportions, and shape decide how the weight is distributed. Which one is your favorite? 💎💍
Pro tip: measurements can MAKE or BREAK your diamond. It's really shocking that not many people know. If you're going ahead and paying all that money for a diamond. It better LOOK as big as possible! By maximizing the measurements, without compromising the depth and sparkle. I am proud to say that that is one of my specialities. It also helps maintain value in the long run!
💎 What is diamond ratio? When shopping for fancy shape diamonds like oval, pear, radiant, emerald, cushion cuts ,marquise etc, you might hear jewelers talk about the diamond ratio. The ratio simply describes the relationship between a diamond’s length and width. It doesn’t determine quality, it just affects how the diamond shape looks on the finger. For example 👇 A pear shaped diamond measuring 10 × 6.5 mm has a ratio of about 1.54. That number tells us how long or wide the diamond will appear. • Lower ratios = shorter, wider diamonds • Higher ratios = longer, slimmer diamonds Some people love a wide pear shape, while others prefer a long elegant teardrop look. The same principle applies to oval diamonds, radiant cuts, emerald cuts, cushions cuts, marquise and any other elongated shape. At the end of the day, there’s no perfect diamond ratio — just the shape you love most. ✨ Your story, set in stone. #diamondeducation #diamondtips #pearshapediamond #ovaldiamond #radiantcutdiamond emeraldcutdiamond marquisediamond engagementringtips diamondshopping engagementringeducation diamondratio customengagementring engagementringguide finejewelry nashvillejeweler naturaldiamonds diamondexpert jewelryeducation 💍

STOP choosing a diamond cut based on what’s trending. Read this first 👇💎 Emerald and radiant cuts may look similar in shape — but they behave completely differently. Emerald cuts have large, open step facets. Think of them like windows.🪟 Because of that, inclusions are easier to see; which means clarity matters more. Bottom line when choosing an emerald cut, invest in higher clarity.💎 Radiant cuts? They have brilliant-style facets that break up light, which helps hide inclusions. So instead of obsessing over ultra-high clarity, focus on: • Strong cut quality (excellent symmetry & proportions)📐 • Light performance • Balanced depth and table Because sparkle is the entire personality of a radiant cut. If it’s cut poorly, it can look dark or glassy.😬 Follow for more real-diamond education & ring content💍 #MakingTheCut #EducatedBuyer #FineJewelry
