It won’t tell you what you can realistically have with your budget, what arrangements work well at your venue, or what fits in with the overall vibe of the day. 🌺 DIY florals seem a fun idea until you’re up at 1am the night before your wedding crying over wilted roses and worrying how on earth you’re going to get everything in the car! 🌺 Suppliers don’t like being micromanaged. We all have our own signature style and way of working. You can’t expect suppliers to copy and paste an image you’ve seen on Pinterest, or match another suppliers quote! 🌺 Flowers are living things. They’re seasonal, imperfect and that’s what makes them beautiful! Trust your florist when we suggest seasonal blooms. 🌺 Pay the extra fee to have your florist help with room turnaround. It shouldn’t be the responsibility of Aunty Irene all because you didn’t want to spend the extra £100! I want my couples to have an amazing day without a floral fiasco! WARNING: We’ve been seeing some videos suggesting that DIY florals is the way to go for your wedding. That’s only true if… 1) You’re okay with delegating a bunch of work to family and friends. 2) You don’t care about the cohesiveness of the arrangements. Unless there is a professional florist/floral designer amongst your family or friends, don’t expect a cohesive look. Floral design is a work of art after all! 3) You don’t mind fielding a bunch of questions the day of your wedding. It’s the biggest day of your life, and you don’t want floral mishaps to live on forever in your wedding photos. Do you agree? Welcome back to the Bridal Diaries - 85 days till I’m officially a wife! 💍 Did my sisters, mom, and I think we were about to casually become professional florists for the day? Yes. Did the flowers cooperate? Absolutely not. BUT that is exactly why we did a trial. We learned what not to do, what definitely doesn’t work, and which ideas need to stay behind. Yes, we literally wash our greenery to ensure it’s the most beautiful greenery our clients have seen! Is it 100% perfect all the time? No, because we’re human but we get it as close as possible. This is the level of service you’re paying for when hiring a professional legit florist. The care to detail is unmatched. The prep time before actually designing is huge and something to really think about before committing to DIY florals. We get our Italian Ruscus from @pikespeakwholesale and @rlintx always provides the best of the best!

If you ever wanted to try DIY Florals this is for you! I loved creating this arrangement there is something soothing about floral arranging and to do it with ease with the box put together by @bouquetbox .
