Reading Psalm 57 in the cave that David wrote it in while hiding from King Saul was unreal!! He was asking God to deliver him and be his refuge while he was hiding and running for his life and God delivered him! Our God is the same yesterday today and forever! 1 Samuel 24:1–5, “When Saul returned from following the Philistines, he was told, “Behold, David is in the wilderness of En Gedi.” Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel and went to seek David and his men in front of the Wild Goats’ Rocks. And he came to the sheepfolds by the way, where there was a cave, and Saul went in to relieve himself. Now David and his men were sitting in the innermost parts of the cave. And the men of David said to him, “Here is the day of which the Lord said to you, ‘Behold, I will give your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it shall seem good to you.’” Then David arose and stealthily cut off a corner of Saul’s robe. Have you visited Ein Gedi, Masada, or the Dead Sea? 🚌We got to visit some of Israel’s top sights on a tour to Ein Gedi, Masada, and the Dead Sea with @touristisrael, and it was BEAUTIFUL. 🌴Our first stop was the oasis of Ein Gedi, a verdant oasis in a canyon of the Judean Desert, where we visited the beautiful David Waterfall. 🏰Next, we headed to Masada, the stunning cliff top fortress near the Dead Sea that was made famous in the year 74 when rebels committed suicide here rather than surrender to the Romans. 🌊We got to take in some stunning views over the Dead Sea and into Jordan as we drove to the beach at the Dead Sea, where we checked off the bucket list item of slathering Dead Sea mud all over us right from the source — a world-class spa treatment! After rinsing off, we swear our skin had never felt softer! 🚐Tourist Israel made it a breeze to visit these amazing places, and they have tons of tours to everywhere in Israel, and even a few in Egypt and Jordan!
