There is nothing quite like a live performance of “Godzilla Eats Las Vegas!”, an original by Eric Whitacre 🤯💥🦖 This wild, hilarious and unpredictable performance came to life in Whitney Hall as we were joined on stage by Grammy-winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre and the incredible Louisville Chamber Choir and University of Louisville Collegiate Chorale. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an epic night of music and for making the evening so special. ❤️🥹 #LouisvilleOrchestra #EricWhitacre #ChoralMusic #LiveOrchestra

Performed by our VOS State Choirs, Eric Whitacre’s (@ericwhitacre) Sleep was dedicated to our Silver Voices members who have gone before us; a heartfelt remembrance of those whose voices continue to echo in our hearts. This piece is our way of honouring their songs, memories and community. 💙 Voices of Singapore is a registered arts charity. Enjoy this stunning moment from Anne Akiko Meyers’ performance of “The Seal Lullaby”, performed with the Louisville Orchestra led by Eric Whitacre. The piece, inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s book, “The White Seal”, was originally written for a Dreamworks animated feature film. While the movie never came to fruition, this work went on to become one of the most popular and influential works in Whitacre’s entire catalog! 🎻✨ Getting to witness Eric Whitacre reunite with the Louisville Orchestea and conduct Anne Akiko Meyers was truly a pleasure. Thanks again to everyone who joined us! #LouisvilleOrchestra #AnneAkikoMeyers #EricWhitacre #LiveOrchestra

you CAN sing @ericwhitacre after HS, just join a local chorus! I joined my local @austingaymenschorus and it has changed my life. Singing in a local choir can provide a community, a creative outlet, connection, and so much more! And you DON’T HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL MUSICIAN TK BE IN ONE! You don’t even have to have sung before for most choirs. Are you singing locally? Shout out your chorus so people know to join! #localchorus #singlocal #joinanensembleafterhs #performforever #singforever #ericwhitacre

Last week we had the honor to receive Eric Whitacre (@ericwhitacre) on campus! 💙🎶 He spent the afternoon with students, reflecting on his career path, how he discovered composition, and the creative practices that continue to guide his work today, sharing advice and inspiration directly with our community in a truly inspiring and insightful session. ✨ We had the chance to ask him a few rapid-fire questions that include a musical challenge! 👉Show us how you take on Eric’s challenge by tagging us @berkleevalenciacampus #EricWhitacre #BerkleeValenciaInspires
