đĽ Letâs do this.
đ Lost your direction? You haven't lost your worth.
Maybe everyone around you seems to know where they're going.
Meanwhile, you're still searching.
For purpose.
For peace.
For a place where you belong.
But your life isn't a race against someone else's timeline.
Jesus described Himself as the Good Shepherd, one who knows His sheep.
You matter. Your story matters. â¤ď¸
đ Lord, guide those who feel lost and help them discover hope for tomorrow.
đ John 10:14

Finding purpose in midlife: what do you do when you know something needs to change? This year I closed my linen business after eight years. And since then, one question has followed me around: what now? So here I am doing homework again! I decided to work with a career coach, and my first exercise was an Ideas Bank: collecting over 100 images of anything Iâm drawn to, then eventually looking for patterns. Mine came down to four things: beauty, joy, wisdom, and connection. I donât have all my next moves worked out yet (and thatâs ok), but I thought there might be some value in sharing it as I go.
If youâre in your 40s or 50s and asking yourself the same questions about purpose and what fulfils you now, Iâd love to hear from you. Am I alone, or are you also asking the âwhatâs next for meâ / âwhere nowâ questions too? Iâd love to know - in the comments below, or send me a message âĽď¸đ

Sometimes we feel stuck because weâre still doing the things that made sense in a season that has already passed.
A new season may require new relationships, new activities, new skills, or simply a new way of thinking about what comes next.
Ask yourself: What season am I in now, and am I doing the things that will make it fulfilling?

What motherhood has taught me about lifeâŚ
1. Thatâs itâs fleetingâŚ
one minute your kids are toddlers and youâre dreaming of the times when you will have peace and quiet and then BOOMâŚ.
Your babies are grown and launching out into the world to forge their own pathsâŚ
So make it memorable today. Make it enjoyable today. Donât put it off.
2. You can, in fact feel 2 or more opposing emotions at the SAME time.
The human experience is kind of wild, isnât it? Especially as a mother. In case you were wondering, itâs so common to feel super happy and excited for your kids as they embark on their own adventures AND feel super sad and lonely for yourself AT THE SAME TIME.
Although itâs normal to feel these things, itâs not healthy to stay in a place of stuck and sadness over your kids leaving. If youâre there, itâs a sign that you may need more meaning and purpose in your life after kids.
We cover this topic in depth on our weekly podcast, Life After Kids with Drs. Brooke and Lynne, so if youâre a Mom with older kids, come join us for a real and unscripted conversation on all things related to this phase of life.

In my experience, nice was often part of my first-half-of-life mask and less honest than the kindness that comes more naturally these days.
Boundary-conscious people are more secure, more accepting of themselves and others. They are not always nice, but they are more frequently kind.
My mature, second-half-of-life self is more respectful and forgiving of myself and others.
Thereâs a difference between nice and kind.
Nice often hides what you really think to keep the peace. Kind speaks truth with loveâeven when itâs uncomfortable.
In my sixties, I finally learned the difference.

What if your purpose isn't something you find once and spend the rest of your life chasing?
In Man's Search for Meaning, Viktor Frankl explores how we find meaning through what we create, whom we love, and how we face the things we cannot change.
It reminded me that we don't need one fixed answer to life's biggest question. What matters to us at 25 might look completely different at 35. As we grow, our priorities change, and so does what gives our lives meaning.
You don't have to figure out your entire life today. You're allowed to evolve.
Have you ever outgrown something you once thought was your purpose?

This went viral when I first wrote itâŚ
A year or so ago, I shared a reel revealing 3 things to focus on in order to enjoy getting older.
That reel got millions of views and comments but most of the comments were all about #2 which was this:
TAKE MORE RISKS. Hereâs what I said that got the most attentionâŚ
At this age weâre not craving more comfort. Weâre securely craving more excitement and a chance to put ourselves out into the world in a meaningful way. â¨â¨â¨
Life is one big risk. If we play it safe all the time weâll stay in our comfort zone. If you donât take a risk how will you ever know what youâre capable of and what will the world have missed out on when you pass?
How do you feel about taking risks? Do you feel you can have a meaningful life without taking some risks?
Post in the comments a đđť if youâre ready for more excitement, more worthwhile risks and more meaning in your Life After Kids!

WHAT IF MONEY IS JUST THE SALT IN YOUR LIFE?
We spend so much of our lives working to earn more, achieve more and build a better future.
But what happens when money becomes the only thing we are chasing?
In my latest conversation on The Divesh Sareen Show, Arjun Sakha Das shares a simple but powerful analogy.
Money is like salt in a meal. It adds flavour, but if your entire meal is made of salt, it becomes impossible to enjoy.
The same is true of life. Money matters. It helps us provide for our families, pursue opportunities and contribute to society. But it is not the only ingredient needed for a meaningful life.
Arjun leaves us with a thought worth remembering: âEarn with integrity, spend with compassion.â
Imagine the difference we could make if we all approached money this way.
