On the Way to Cape May Shawl Kit! Now up on my website ! These kits are curated to be in a fade-like effect. Of course you can make anything you want with the set, including a woven scarf / shawl, a faded sweater, or break up the fade and make a bunch of really fun hats! The kit includes: -4 skeins of hand dyed Cape May Fiber DK Merino SW (100% SW Merino, 231 yards / 100 Gram skein) for a total of 924 yards. This is twice as much yarn as needed for the smaller shawl, so you can make a large shawl like the one I did! -1 skein of hand dyed Sari Silk Ribbon (for the fringe), approx 70-75 yards per skein. Just in and by far the best quality chiffon I have received yet. This ribbon is sheer and medium weight and will drape quite nicely. It has a light stretch to it and will knit and crochet nicely. It will even felt easily because of it’s sheerness. This ribbon can also be woven ,braided and made into beautiful jewelry and accessories. -download code for the On the Way To Cape May Shawl crochet pattern (included for FREE) About the pattern: On the Way To Cape May shawl has textured bubbles reminiscent of the sea. Subtle details will keep your interest as you travel down to the shore. She’s blocked and ready to go! I’ve put bundles for 3 pairings in my Northiam DK that I know will look epic on the shop. This is the Amber / Thistle option. Thistle is slightly lilac and looks epic with the warm orangey-mustard Amber You can see in today’s sun how much the natural lustre of this gorgeous small-batch Bluefaced Leicester shimmers. Novembris Shawl @linda.skuja.design made using scheepjes cotton whirlette colour almond purchased from @bellemaeyarns . Made this using a finer cotton than suggested and a smaller hook and now have a lovely shorter version. Soft and beautiful. #cottonscarf #texturedstyle #beautifulyarn #happyday #patterndesignersclub
Took my #pressedflowerkerchief for a stroll today! 🏵️ I knit mine with leftover yarn from my #winnietop and #winniesweater , that is, @dropsdesign cotton merino in dark green and rust ❤️ Made a few modifications to get the most out of it: 1. Followed the pattern for 3 repeats. 2. Changed the increase rate from increase at every other row to every 4th row. So I had to adjust the mosaic flower pattern accordingly. 3. Changed the decrease rate to decrease at 4th row to match with the increases. 4. Followed the pattern decreases for the last 3 repeats. 5. Added icord ties so I can wear it around my neck. Love how it turned out and fits like a cowl but also works as a little scarf while also being a kerchief!!!! Pattern: #pressedflowerkerchief by @savoryknitting

But this February something clicked between us, and I couldn't stop until it was finished. You know something is extra special when it involves yarn friends and beautiful, elegant design. To celebrate coming together for the 2026 @australianyarnshow, Susan from @ash_and_eve_designs, Sara from @daffodilroadyarn and myself decided to each dye a special colourway for the @curioushandmade Impressionists Shawl. It's a romantic, three skein shawl in fingering weight yarn which we've knit before and are sure to knit again. We will have kits available featuring our three yarns and a Ravelry download code at our three stalls this weekend (and online thereafter if you can't make it). This collaboration has been made even more special with Helen from @curioushandmade coming along to AYS this year. You'll be able to meet Helen this Saturday at @louielolayarns stall at 2pm, @ash_and_eve_designs stall at 3pm and @daffodilroadyarn stall at 4pm. We will also have samples of lots of other @curioushandmade designs and kits to suit!
