Here’s a glimpse of what went down at the @fight_klub Experience at @hackneymoves : Festival of Fitness featuring @kimmybeatbox Over 750 people are already signed up for our Annual Outdoor Experience at Hackney Moves 2025 — and this year’s event on MAY 17th is shaping up to be even BIGGER and BETTER. Hackney Moves is a fun, family-friendly day out featuring top fitness brands, leading instructors, live DJs, music, kids’ activities, food and drink — all in the heart of Hackney. Fight Klub is proud to be the Official Participation Partner for Hackney Moves 2025 and 2026, bringing high energy and good vibes to one of many exciting FREE activations happening on the day. A one of a kind community 💙 This afternoon the OTC family took on the @hackneymoves 5k race! Memories were made, PB’s were hit and the achievement was celebrated in style! MY BRAIN WORKING OVER-TIME FOR A PB ANNOUNCEMENT TO MY 17 STRAVA FOLLOWERS Beaut day for Hackney Moves half marathon (I’ll get over how stunningly far it is from Putney in a bit). Always blow my mind how well-supported the Hackney half is, and this post is in honour of some very small legends. THANK YOU to the the kids lining the course with sweeties 🍬 🫶🏼 Not all heroes wear capes (altho some did, with sparkly wellies & pirate hats) Incase you wonder, my unofficial race plan went like this: Mile 3 ish - Flagging significantly earlier than anticipated. I blame HYROX. Didn’t want to slow too much but desperate times, so reduced to a trot & took a cola bottle from a child dressed as a dinosaur. Not my first choice of sweet IRL but honestly at that stage? Best thing I ever tasted. Somewhere in the middle, maybe mile 8? - Reaped the benefits of the singular cola bottle so decided to double down on my next plunder. Managed to pluck 3 jelly babies, all different colours! Weirdly pleasing achievement 😂. And to whom it may concern, if you’re handing out sweeties at a marathon / race of any kind (grazie mille), I strongly feel these are the best texture - super easy to chew. Mile 11 - End in sight but energy had plummeted, legs felt like lead. Made a snap decision to pull left to a girl with a basket proudly displaying a “vegan sweets” sign. Assume they were candy kittens, which I’m a big fan of day-to-day. HOWEVER - turns out vegan sweets are waaaaay chewier, and the big bite I took very nearly created a medical episode 😱, so my pilfered 2 sugary watermelon segments ended up wedged down my sports bra for occasional small nibbles. And ofc, I re-fuelled at the end with the new @barebells.uk pistachio cream protein bar 👌 Actually really loved running the Hackney Moves half marathon - just the right amount of friendly competition, and reminded me why I love running ♥️ Huge SO to a) my @soak_.ldn nails - survived a wild ride of HYROX & running and still look pristine 😇 & b) @hudabeauty easy bake powder, which defied all the the odds to keep everything where it should be despite sweat, mist stations, and kids with war
