Özellikle Koreli,Çinli ve Japon kadınlar için beyaz ten çok önemlidir. Tenin güneşe maruz kalıp kararması statüde bir aşağılık göstergesidir ve bu nedenle hemen her asyalının kol üstüne kadar çıkan uzun eldiven ve kollukları bulunur.
Koreliler yüzmek yerine deniz kenarında ayakkabılarını çıkarıp yürümeyi ya da bir şezlong üzerinde dinlenmeyi tercih ediyorlar
Ayrıca;
* Güvenlik kuralları çok sıkıdır. Cankurtaranlar yüzme alanlarını şamandıralarla sınırlar. Dalga veya akıntı varsa denize girmek yasaklanabilir ve insanlar kurallara uyar.
* Korelilerin önemli bir kısmı plaja yüzmekten çok vakit geçirmek için gider. Şemsiye altında oturmak, piknik yapmak, arkadaşlarla sohbet etmek ve gece sahilde yürümek oldukça yaygındır.
* Güneşte bronzlaşmak Kore’de çok popüler değildir. Açık ten tercih edildiği için birçok kişi uzun süre güneşlenmez.
