@totalrefusal @theaterimbahnhof @theartificialmuseum @stefanie_elias @markuspetergoessler @simon_hajos #festivals #puppentheaterfürerwachsene #futuretech #gastspiel #workshop
Robo-Futures 11–14 February 2026 — Delft transformed into a playground of robots, art and technology during Highlight Festival. Is This Life? was part of this year’s programme. The installation is a joint production between Highlight Festival and iii – instrument inventors initiative. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Kultura nova Foundation and the City of Zagreb. Special thanks to @rino.banko (ceramics), @hanjo_claassen (mechanics, electronics & software), and the @highlightdelft team for the fantastic exhibition production and ongoing support. Until next time. #HighlightFestival #RoboFutures #Delft #roboticart #artandtechnology #contemporaryart #artandscience #installationart #researchbasedart #humanmachine #experimentalart #iii #instrumentinventorsinitiative
a robot that writes (and erases) history in real time ✍️ ‘writing history’, an autonomous installation by @paulalbertcom at @museumaandea, explores history as something constantly rewritten. inside a glass-and-steel enclosure, an industrial robotic arm writes text and drawings onto glass, only to wipe them away moments later. the cycle repeats endlessly, turning the act of recording history into a visible process of revision. the robot pulls from a database of historical facts and images about groningen while also integrating live data like weather, water levels, and traffic. past records meet present conditions, generating new compositions each time. find out more on #designboom, link in bio! #designboomreaders
Part 2 of the reopening of the New Museum. The first exhibition is called “ New Humans: Memories of the Future“ and is very expansive- it occupies 3 floors of the campus! I love this grouping of robotics- very cool. @newmuseum @newmuseumstore #art #robot #contemporaryart #instagram #instagood @art @artnews @artmuseny

🔵 Mi. 25.02. The World Without Us: AEC Deepspace Einführung: Jürgen Hagler (ANIMA PLUS) Eintritt frei (Anmeldung empfohlen unter [email protected]) - Behind the scenes of “Interactive Brosch”: Last year, we had the opportunity to capture an almost five-meter-long late work by Klemens Brosch from the collection of the Nordico Stadtmuseum at the Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz as a gigapixel image. These and other high-resolution recordings – including two works from the exhibition “The World Without Us” – form the foundation of an immersive world that can now be experienced in Deep Space at the Ars Electronica Center. In cooperation with the exhibition, the detailed gigapixel projections as well as the award-winning short film “Brosch AI – Distorted Dreams” will be presented. 🔵 Wed, 25.02 – The World Without Us: AEC Deep Space Introduction: Jürgen Hagler (ANIMA PLUS) Free admission (registration recommended at [email protected]) #TheWorldWithoutUs #KlemensBrosch #BroschAI
Post-Babel, 2026 Mert Ateş A server rack tower lying on its side… Constantly generating data, but simultaneously collapsing itself. I adapted this to the present day, inspired by the classic Tower of Babel: This time, the problem isn't language unity, but data accumulation. Artificial intelligence and information systems multiplying on their own, outside of human control. Continuity and discontinuity simultaneously. Fifteen years of collaboration. Fifteen years of friendship. 🫶 The story with @frankbuchwald began in Berlin, inside an old industrial building filled with brass, steel, sketches and half-finished forms. Years ago, Maximilian Büsser discovered Frank’s Machine Lights online while searching for a piece for his own home. Curiosity led him to visit Frank’s workshop. The connection was instant — a shared fascination for mechanics, science fiction, and objects that feel almost alive. On the drive back to the airport, Max placed an order for Frank’s next ten pieces for the future M.A.D.Gallery. Fifteen years later, that friendship continues with ML15 Helios. In this short film, Berlin-based designer Frank Buchwald shares how Helios came to life inside his workshop — where metal, imagination and mechanics meet. #MBandF #FrankBuchwald #MachineLights #MADGallery #designcollaboration
You Get What You Love At its core lies a steel-glass architecture: A “memory container” from whose headpiece LED strips descend like neural synapses, visualizing the flow of information. While the structure appears technological-futuristic, nature is already breaking into the system. Plants overgrow the metal, and insects inhabit the cavities. The machine transforms into a living organism. An integrated chaise longue invites viewers to become a physical part of the work. The auditory layer is accessed via headphones: a spoken mantra addressing modern pressure to perform and the compulsion for constant production culminates in the eponymous, previously unreleased song. The piece of furniture itself, featuring a sketch of the single cover, completes the circle between sculpture, sound, and personal narration. This is FLOCK OF, a robotic installation by @thebitstudio that fills the space with a swarm of floating autonomous fish. Suspended in the air, the helium-filled creatures navigate the room using sensors and algorithms that continuously calculate their paths and avoid collisions. Each fish moves independently, yet together they form shifting patterns reminiscent of schools of fish or flocks of birds. As the swarm drifts and reorganizes above the audience, the installation turns the space into a living choreography of movement, technology, and collective behavior.
