A little longer video today, but definitely worth watching till the end! This is a HIGHLY requested back story! Here is Falkor’s journey to the sanctuary! 🐾 He was originally bought from a pet store in Saginaw, Michigan (now under investigation for selling exotics). He either escaped or was released, and no one came forward to reclaim him. A kind woman started feeding him under her deck—thanks to her, he survived the winter. She contacted a local rehab, Yasmin ❤️ who reached out to us. He was trapped him on December 26, 2022, and after quarantine + a clean vet check, he joined the sanctuary. We paired him with Miss Spicy Fiona, who had lost her companion Cody to heart failure about a year earlier. It was love at first sight! Fiona adores him, and Falkor is completely smitten with her. 💕 Fun fact: Falkor’s adorable squint comes from his pale blue eyes and light-sensitive vision (a result of his coat color). He’d never have survived in the wild, and he’s still very shy—no pets allowed from me! He’s a true gentleman about saying “no thanks.” So grateful he found his forever home here.
