Taking advantage of the comments from the previous video on Clown Core, I decided to dive into John Zorn’s entire discography this time around. (Of course, including his band, Naked City) And honestly, I feel kind of bad about it. As a hardcore punk fan, how could I have missed out on music this amazing for so long? There was a lot of back-and-forth in the comments under the Clown Core video too, but really, who cares about genres? In the end, all that matters is the musicians and the music itself. That said, one thing’s for sure: back then, John Zorn must have been really into New York’s hardcore punk style, often called Youth Crew. I’d bet good money he was a fan of Minor Threat. Anyway, I found a crossover between jazz and hardcore punk in their music. In other words, it’s a bit different from what Clown Core is doing. So, as you can see, I decided to call it Hardcore Jazz Punk. The reason 'Punk' comes last is because it feels a little closer to hardcore punk than jazz overall. What do you all think? Does their sound lean more toward hardcore punk or jazz? Let me know! 지난번 올렸던 '클라운 코어(Clown Core)' 영상 댓글들을 빌미 삼아 이번 기회에 '존 존(John Zorn)' 음반을 전부 다 들어봤습니다. 물론 그가 이끌던 밴드 '네이키드 시티(Naked City)'도 포함입니다. 그리고 반성했습니다. The constant downpour wasn’t stopping @askmybull from obliterating the walls of our terrace with their ferocious vibrations! 💥   An instrumental whirlwind hailing from Manchester, core 3-piece Ask My Bull blend experimental textures with heavy low-end grooves to generate their unique cocktail of hyperactive jazz punk. Having rocked the festival circuit year in year out, they now have a fierce reputation and are known for their high-energy live shows, often expanding to a 5-piece adding guitar and a second sax.   Funnily enough they’re dropping by to play our bar stage with our old friends @band.called.bonk next Thursday (the 4th)…do you dare witness the mayhem..?
