If your life stayed exactly the same for the next 10 years, would you be happy? In this week’s BRAND NEW podcast episode, I’m joined by Norwegian explorer and philosopher Erling Kagge, who walked solo to the South Pole for 50 days in complete silence. What he discovered on that journey wasn’t just the vastness of Antarctica… but the stillness within. He realised: inner silence is key to finding meaning in life. And sometimes, that means making life deliberately more difficult. When we remove distraction and comfort, we’re left with something far more challenging: ourselves. I truly loved this conversation with Erling — it left me feeling calm, reflective, and deeply inspired. If you’re seeking change or simply craving more meaning in your life, I hope it offers you the same clarity, perspective, and quiet motivation that it gave me. 🎧 Let me know if you will be listening to Episode 551 of my ‘Feel Better, Live More’ available now.

Wolfgang Wee Uncut #488: Erling Kagge norsk advokat, forlegger, forfatter, kunstsamler og eventyrer.
Erling Kagge is one of the world's great explorers - a man whose life embraces solitude. That is, when he‘s not being attacked by a polar bear… thankfully, he lived to tell the tale. He is the first person to reach, by foot, the North Pole, South Pole, and Mount Everest. Erling and my life might be dissimilar, but we share a love for the unknown. For him, it might be a new horizon. For me, a discovery of a little-known Sicilian recipe. Today, we're here on our own adventure, not on the top of a mountain or in the icy North Pole, but safe and warm in the River Cafe. Ruthie's Table 4: Erling Kagge - made in partnership with @moncler - is out now 🎙️ Erling’s new book “The North Pole: The History of an Obsession” is also out this week 🧭 @vikingbooksuk
Erling ser «Nordpolen» for første gang!
I thought id send out a little reel to show you i haven’t forgotten about you all, i love making content and filling your day with fun and interesting stories. I am just hard at work with Kagge Forlag trying to finish this book which i hope gives you an insight into why i did all this and what drove me to leave my family and friends behind to chase this “Norwegian Dream” I feel so grateful to have this chance to tell my story but at the same time i dont want to brush over anything, i want you to know everything from the highs to the painful lows. To get a glimpse into the mind of a man who really took a chance on hope instead if listening to fear and doubt. So that all said, i am close and i promise to be back with a big old smile and a mountain of laughs. I really hope you can sit in front of the fire this autumn and enjoy my story. Love you all and thank you again for all your ongoing support. It really does keep me going ❤️
Our first book recommendation is: 📖 Silence In The Age of Noise by Erling Kagge ✨What is silence? ✨Where can it be found? ✨Why is it more important than ever? Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge once spent fifty days walking solo across Antarctica, his radio broken. In this charming, quietly life-changing book – now an international publishing phenomenon – he takes us on a journey to unlock the power of silence. And he shows us how to find perfect silence in our daily lives, however busy we are. Head to the link in our bio for more information and to sign up to our newsletter. We’ll be checking in for chapter chats throughout the week. Let us know in the comments section how frequently you would like our recommendations and where you’d like to chat about them? Happy reading 💚📚

#villematskatter #sankeliv #sanking #kaggeforlag
