Have you been? A BP gas station in #KeyportNJ is at the center of a growing local controversy after drivers reported their cars broke down shortly after filling up. The station, located on Clark Road just off the #GardenStateParkway, has now shut down all of its gas pumps. One of the affected drivers, said her Honda Civic stalled shortly after she left the BP. "I went from 60 to 40 in 2 seconds on the parkway, and it's absolutely terrifying," she said. Her mechanic told her the car's tank contained 12 gallons of water. #Keyport PD Chief Michael Ferm confirmed the department had taken 10 reports as of Thursday afternoon. The Office of Weights and Measures has launched an investigation, and complaints are continuing to surface online. BP is reportedly working with affected drivers. At least one customer reported a repair bill of $1,700. Chief Ferm urged anyone who believes they received contaminated fuel to file a report with the police.
