“I never thought this would happen to me. I always dreamt of a loving husband, beautiful kids, & a happy life. But this dream shattered in 2021, when the doctor said, ‘Your baby might not make it.’ Dhaval & I had been trying for 3 years. I still remember how over the moon we were when we found out I was expecting. But then a simple ‘Hyperemesis gravidarum’ written on my reports ruined everything. It meant that I was suffering from a complication where I was going through severe nausea & weight loss I was 12 weeks pregnant when the doctor told me that because of this condition, we should consider aborting the baby. It wasn’t easy. Every day, I felt like I was walking on eggshells. I would vomit 50-60 times a day. There were days when I would vomit blood. I became so weak that I couldn’t even move. Some nights, I couldn’t sleep. But Dhaval was always there – whenever I would wake up at night, he would be there…next to me. With popcorn in his hand, he would say, ‘Can’t sleep? Let’s watch a movie.’ Throughout the ordeal, Dhaval stood by me like a rock. He took time off from work. But my relatives kept saying, ‘Why do you have to stay at home? She’s not the only woman who has given birth.’ But he just said, ‘You guys are my priority.’ After 9 months, when the baby’s heartbeat was still strong, I just looked at Dhaval & said, ‘We did it!’ Then came 8 hours of labor & painful contractions. My body wasn’t ready for a normal delivery, but people’s comments like, ‘What kind of mother are you?’ & ‘You can’t even handle this?’ broke me. That’s when Dhaval stepped in & shut everyone up. He told me, ‘Everyone’s journey is different.’ And we did. While I swaddled my son, Jiggly, Dhaval put him to sleep. We became the strongest team. And you know, every time, Jiggly said, ‘Mumma’ or ask me, ‘Do you need anything?’ my heart just melted. It felt like everything was okay. So, 4 years later, when I conceived again, I wasn’t scared. Today, Dhaval, I, Jiggly, & Jian are living happily ever after. And that’s when I realized, it’s okay if your picture-perfect life falls apart, as long as you have a village to help pick up the pieces & put them back together…with you.”

Here are 3 easy steps to practice when labour pain starts: 1️⃣ Lying on Husband’s Lap in Cat-Cow Position Leaning forward in a supported hands-and-knees (cat-cow inspired) position on your husband’s lap helps reduce back pain and improves baby’s alignment. 2️⃣ Acupressure Points on Back Gentle pressure on specific points in the lower back can significantly reduce pain and provide relief during contractions. 3️⃣ Birth Ball Hip Circles (Slowly) Sitting on a birth ball and moving your hips in slow circles helps open the pelvis and encourages smooth labour progression. ✨ With the right guidance and support, labour can be a calm and empowering journey. 📍For natural pregnancy care, labour preparation & yoga support: Dr. Roshitha P – Naturopathy & Yoga Clinic 📞 7907052599 #labourpain #naturalbirth #labourpositions #birthball #acupressure prenatalyoga normaldelivery painmanagement pregnancycare holisticbirth naturopathy yogaforpregnancy drroshithap empoweredbirth birthsupport keralamoms naturalhealing healthybirth 🤍

A doctor shared a video where a woman mocks her daughter-in-law while she is in labour pain—and the internet is rightfully outraged. Is a delivery room now a stage for humiliation instead of care? Labour is not entertainment, and pain is not a punchline. When medical professionals blur ethics for engagement, women pay the price with their dignity. This incident isn’t just about one video, it reflects how casually women’s suffering is dismissed. If those sworn to heal can laugh at pain, who is the system really built for? Shouldn’t empathy be the bare minimum in healthcare? #MedicalEthics #LabourPain #WomenDeserveDignity #HealthcareOrContent
