Review volume gets attention. Authority comes from what those reviews actually say, how consistently they show up, and how fast you respond. A business with 200 generic reviews can still feel weak in local search. A business with fewer reviews, but stronger detail, better ratings, and thoughtful replies, often looks far more trusted. That’s why reviews should be part of your local SEO system, not treated like a vanity metric. I can’t believe I convinced this guy to pay me $50,000. 🤯 But look what I did for him 👇 His SEMrush Position Tracking is stacked with Map Pack keywords. That’s not luck. That’s 3 specific moves — the same 3 I run for every client I want ranking in local search. 1. GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE SERVICES Most owners leave this on default and let Google guess what they do. Click into every single service and write a real, keyword-rich description in your own words. Google reads every one of them. It’s free ranking real estate almost nobody uses. 2. BRIGHTLOCAL CITATION CAMPAIGN Got him listed across every major directory that matters for local search. Same name, same address, same phone number, everywhere on the web. ChatGPT and Google both pull from those directories to decide whether your business is legit. If your info doesn’t match across the web, you don’t get picked. 3. CONTENT THAT ANSWERS REAL CUSTOMER QUESTIONS Opened SEMrush Keyword Magic Tool → filtered by Questions → wrote one page for every question his customers were actually typing into Google and ChatGPT. Not blog fluff. Not AI-generated garbage. Real answers from his expertise. That’s what pulled him into the Map Pack. $50K. 3 moves. He’s making it back every month. Ask your agency which of these 3 they’ve done for you 👀 Save this before your next agency meeting. Your Google Business Profile is quietly disappearing if you're not posting to it. Not exaggerating. Google suppresses inactive profiles in local search. And with AI Overviews now pulling from active profiles to answer search queries, if you're not showing up there, you're not showing up at all. The fix is simple. Post once a week. A project update, a client review, a quick tip. One photo, one sentence, done. You don't need a marketing degree. You just need to show up consistently. 👇 Drop your industry below and I'll tell you exactly what to post this week. #GoogleBusinessProfile #LocalSEO #SmallBusinessMarketing #GoogleMyBusiness #LocalBusiness
If I owned a concrete coating business and wanted to grow and scale, these are the 3 marketing channels I would dominate: 1. Organic search through a properly optimized Google Business Profile, a high-converting concrete coating website, local SEO, and AI search visibility. 2. Facebook and Instagram advertising to generate a consistent volume of exclusive concrete coating leads within your service area. 3. Google Search Ads to reach homeowners actively searching for garage floor coatings, epoxy flooring, polyurea coatings, polyaspartic flooring, basement floor coatings, patio coatings, and commercial concrete coatings. Concrete coating companies cannot rely only on referrals or word of mouth if they want predictable growth. The winning strategy is to build visibility across Google, Facebook, Instagram, local search, and AI-powered search platforms while using strong offers, professional ad creatives, optimized landing pages, and fast lead follow-up. If I had to start a local business tomorrow, here's exactly what I'd do in this order. 1. Google Business Profile and website first. Most local search clicks go to the top three results. If you're not there, nothing else you do matters. 2. Reviews before ads. Don't spend a dollar on traffic until you have reviews. Ad traffic converts far better when people find proof waiting for them. 3. An AI receptionist. A missed call is a customer who already called your competitor. Every call gets answered day, night, weekend. 4. Build an email list from day one. Your social following belongs to the platform. It can disappear tomorrow. Your email list belongs to you. 5. One video every single week. That's 52 a year. Most of your competitors won't make five. None of this needs a big budget. All of it needs a decision. Make it.
You can’t dominate local search with a $500 budget. $500/mo on Google Ads? That’s wishful thinking — not a strategy. If you want real results, start thinking $3,000/mo after testing. The first 90 days are for optimization — not domination. Because scaling without data is just donating to Google. 🤫 The hidden secret of Google’s rise to the top? Before Google was a household name, they were up against giants like Ask Jeeves and Dogpile, who had the market share in their pockets. 📊 So what was Google’s game-changing move? They quietly infiltrated television and billboards! 📺🏙️ They started branding themselves like there was no tomorrow, and guess what? Within just four years, they conquered local search. 🌐 Now, let’s talk Facebook. 🤔 Have you ever seen a billboard or commercial for them? Of course. But they understand the power of branding and trust. 💪 Branding isn’t just about logos; it’s about building credibility and trust. #motivationalvideos #success #business #personaldevelopment #inspirationalvideos
A #1 ranking looks great on a report. But if the phone isn’t ringing, we need to have a different conversation. Sterling Sky and Jepto recently analyzed 179 Google Business Profiles, and the findings highlight something I think every local business owner needs to understand: **the way people interact with local search is changing.** AI-powered results, Google Maps, ads and other features are taking up more of the customer journey. That means simply tracking where your business ranks doesn’t tell us the whole story anymore. I’ve always believed marketing should be measured against business outcomes, not vanity metrics. Are we generating calls? Are they the right calls? Are those leads becoming customers? And ultimately, is the marketing producing revenue? None of this means Local SEO is no longer important. It means we have to look at it as part of a bigger strategy. Depending on the business, the market and the competition, that could mean combining Local SEO with Local Services Ads, Google Ads, stronger organic visibility, or other ways of capturing demand. There isn’t one answer that works for every business. That’s where strategy matters. At **Minerva Digital Marketing Consultants**, we look beyond rankings to understand how your entire search presence is contributing to leads and growth. If your rankings look good but the leads don’t match, DM me **“LOCAL.”** Let’s look at your specific market and figure out where the opportunities are. #LocalSEO #GoogleBusinessProfile #GoogleMaps #LeadGeneration #DigitalMarketing
