We love an origin story. Often found in comic books, this one was at a museum. And it was the mother of all origin stories. A Moving Line at @mapbangalore took us back 1,500 years to how Indian sequential storytelling began and evolved. Across 250 works curated by @amruta_gauri , you see an incredible evolution of how today’s graphic novels and comics stand on the foundations of visual storytelling traditions in India, like kaavad and pattachitra scrolls. The power of visual storytelling is also not lost on us, a generation steeped in reels. Text could never (even though we’re trying in this caption).
