i am queer and trans and LOVE my community 🌈 in a world where homophobia, transphobia, and racism exist i am so grateful to be alive and to be able to see another year. i never thought id make it to my 30s, and now i wish time would slow down just a little bit. but until then, i love any opportunity i have to celebrate my queer life and to love on my community.
as always, pride started as a riot thanks to our ancestors marsha p johnson and sylvia rivera. and we continue to fight in honor of them and all of our queer trans ancestors. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

“Thank god, the revolution has begun, honey.”

Video Description:
Mychal reads the blurb inside the book jacket of @tourmaliiine’s Marsha: The Joy and Defiance of Marsha P. Johnson. “Rumor has it that after Marsha P. Johnson threw the first brick in the 1969 Stonewall Uprising, she picked up a shard of broken mirror to fix her makeup. Marsha, a legendary Black transgender activist, embodied both the beauty and the struggle of the early gay rights movement. Her work sparked the progress we see today, yet there has never been a definitive record of her life… until now.” Mychal invites you to read the book!
