Finger crossed but it looks like we may have a viable egg on the second attempt. It’s still a long road from here. Around 3 weeks to see an embryo and months before serious development but we’re hopeful. More to come as momma is still looking plump.

It was journey and learning experience to get to the end results and it’s definitely worth the time and effort to take care of their curls!!

First laid eggs of the 2023 season for us! It's been a tough slog with all the flooding, bomb cyclones, and atmospheric rivers. Seeing such a beautiful mated queen is still such a great reward for all of the perseverance. As grueling as it can be we still get excited about bringing these food makers into the world.
