⭐ See why Total Guitar readers voted Mike Dawes the "Best Acoustic Guitarist in the World" two years running! While he’s joined here by the legendary Tommy Emmanuel for a special rendition of "Somebody That I Used to Know," Mike is headed to Australia this May for a strictly SOLO tour. Witness his breathtaking ability to create the sound of a full rock band on a single acoustic guitar—no loops, no backing tracks, just one man and six strings. 📍 Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong 📅 May 2 - 11 🎟️ Solo Tour Tickets: www.concertsaustralia.com/mike Several concerts have already sold out! @mike_dawes

Hi, it’s Michael McLean! I’m putting together the song list for the upcoming concert, and I need your help. Write in the comments the name of the ONE song you really need me to play — the one you HAVE to hear or you won’t come to the show. Drop it in the comments. 👇 I really appreciate you doing this for me. I want to make sure the guy who wrote The Forgotten Carols doesn’t forget any of your other favorites from the past 50 years. Michael Stanley is ingrained in my earliest musical memories. His songs will always remind me of home, my parents, and my family. I was living in PA at the time of his passing and the news hit me harder than I was expecting. I love how music can tie so much together. It can help you get thru pain. It can help you celebrate when life is good and it can help connect you to a time and place you will never forget. I will always be thankful for his music, but even more so, the memories I have that come from it.
A few verses of Marc Cohen’s Walking in Memphis. If you want to find out if I’m “a Christian, child”, you gotta buy me a beer at Karaoke
