Mickey Rourke has slammed a 100k GoFundMe campaign set up in his name to help prevent his eviction, calling it 'humiliating.' The Oscar-nominated actor, 73, was served a notice last month to pay $59,100 in back rent he allegedly owes on his Los Angeles property within three days, or risk eviction. On Sunday, a fundraiser was launched by a woman named Liya-Joelle Jones, who said she works as an assistant to Rourke's manager, Kimberly Hines. Jones claimed the GoFundMe was created with Rourke's 'full permission.' #mickeyrourke #eviction #gofundme #losangeles

Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts in “The Pope of Greenwich Village” 1984. The stickball scene. Old school New York when the streets were still the streets. Kids playing stickball, everyone hanging out on the block, that slightly gritty, sun-faded feeling that’s almost impossible to find now. And Mickey Rourke and Eric Roberts. I had the biggest crush on both of them. They had an effortless, slightly dangerous charm that defined the era, unlike today’s male stars who all feel a bit effete or pretty-boy to me.

Why don't you stop drinking? (Barfly 1987)
Tully: Why don't you stop drinking? Anybody can be a drunk.
Henry: Anybody can be a non-drunk. It takes a special talent to be a drunk. It takes endurance.

From Boxer to ‘The Wrestler’. While making movies back in the 90’s, Mickey Rourke was training with the best at the famed 5th St. Gym in Miami Beach. No stunt doubles here — just real bouts, real knockouts and an undefeated run in the ring.
