MOONBELLY BAKERY IN SAC 🥐 With a line out the door, and the smell of bread creeping through the cracks, this bakery got a good reputation for all the good reasons. Moonbelly got some artisanal pastries, breads, and other goodies that have been on our list to try for a while. We got there and had to wait a few minutes to get inside, luckily early enough to beat the heat. The space inside is tiny, really enough for a few parties at a time, but you get a chance to see all the delicious looking food on display, selling itself with its looks. So much of it looked really good, it was a little tough picking a few. The service was incredibly friendly, and work well under high volume. Our baked goods were exceptionally great, the garlic knot was superb! And wow that almond cake is addicting, with a nice marzipan flavor. Wasn’t a big fan of the peanut butter strawberry, the flavor wasn’t really much but the flakeyness I liked. Overall, a solid neighborhood bakery, would love to come try more. SCRUMPTIOUS!! 😜🤤 Moonbelly Bakery is quite a gem in East Sac. 💎 My favorite pastries out of the ones we tried were the chocolate almond croissant 🍫🥐 and the mushroom Gruyère! 🍄🧀 They have very limited hours, Fri - Sun from 8am to 1:30pm. I highly recommend that you get there BEFORE they open because the line can get long. You also want to make sure that they don’t run out! There is a parking lot in front of the bakery but there are only a few spaces.
