Why Startup Investing in North Carolina Is Unique
One of the most interesting aspects of startup investing in North Carolina is the combination of long-term compounding and potential tax advantages like QSBS, which can allow a portion of gains to be tax-free when structured correctly.
Over a typical 10–12 year venture cycle, investments grow inside companies before a major liquidity event, creating powerful compounding opportunities. When paired with diversified early-stage investing across the state’s startup ecosystem, it can create access to a unique type of venture “alpha.”
