How did you do?!? 💧
Hypertonic = high numbers
• 3%, 5%, 10%
⬆️ Anything higher than 0.9% is a HYPERtonic solution
⭐️ Isotonic = right in the middle (0.9% sodium chloride)
Hypotonic = low numbers
• 0.45% (½ NS)
• 0.33% (⅓ NS)
• 0.225% (¼ NS)
⬇️ Anything lower than 0.9% is a HYPOtonic solution
*The only exception to this memory trick is 5% dextrose in water (D5W)
👉D5W starts as an isotonic solution, then changes to a hypotonic solution once the dextrose is metabolized

I wasn’t supposed to make it here… but I did.
From holding my newborn while studying…
to failing…
to being dismissed from my program…
to coming back, graduating, failing my NCLEX…
and still choosing not to quit.
Now I get messages every single day from students fighting their own battles… and passing.
This isn’t just my journey anymore. It’s ours.
If you’re in a season where it feels like everything is falling apart… keep going.
Your comeback is coming. 🤍
