**Clarification:** I appeared for NLSAT, not CLAT, but I believe these tips are useful for anyone aiming to get into top NLUs. **Note:** I prepared for just three months—if I could do it, so can you. 1. **TIME** Time is one of the most important yet underestimated aspects of prep. Some of my classmates cleared the exam with just a month of focused study. The key is to manage your time wisely—both while preparing and during the actual 2.5–3 hours of the test. Even with hard work, poor time management in the exam can cost you. 2. **BACKLOGS** Backlogs are part of the journey. Almost every day brings new topics left undone. It’s normal. What matters most is how consistent and mentally strong you remain despite them. 3. **NEWSPAPER** If you’re short on time, summaries are helpful, but don’t ignore editorials. Reading them regularly improves comprehension, vocabulary, and analysis—skills essential for the exam. 4. **CURRENT AFFAIRS** Starting late meant I couldn’t cover current affairs from the beginning, so I followed monthly YouTube compilations and gave 2.5 hours daily to stay updated. This helped me cover a lot efficiently. 5. **MOCK TESTS** Mocks are a must—whether for CLAT or NLSAT. Weekly tests during my crash course helped me build the stamina for a 3-hour paper and, more importantly, analyze both right and wrong answers to understand where I stood and how to improve.
