That’s pretty decent progress, no? 😁 3 years of going up and down stairs has helped me regain strength in my legs after my paralysis. I now only use the handrail though, because safety is important! Pushing your limits is important too, but when you have a disability you also need to know when playing it safe is the right move. No one gets ALS at 23. But I did. My legs will shake uncontrollably now and I hate it so much. This disease blows These are 3 odd symptoms I had at 22 but pretty much ignored because nothing felt….fatal. ➡️I was getting weaker and no amount of CrossFit helped ➡️My voice sounded “off”, like slow or intoxicated, tired ➡️ I would trip super randomly and fall I’m Erin and I have ALS. It is known that ALS is 100% terminal within 3-5 yrs . Sometimes sooner, sometimes later but it’s always fatal. I post to help bring awareness to this underfunded disease. and now to get all her 12-18 month clothes practically cut in half… having achondroplasia means my toddlers torso is of average size but her short long bones (arms + legs) are disproportionately much shorter, making finding suitable clothing pretty impossible. We do however get really great wear out of everything that we do alter, because she’s in sizes for much longer than an average height child would be.
