I’m super excited for my next quilt along starting September 22! We’ll be using “Nine Carat Quilt”, my best selling pattern with Cut Loose Press. The pattern is only $3.99 (USD). You can get the pdf pattern @cutloosepress and the paper pattern @quiltbpn. The links to get those will also be in the email you get when you sign up. I’d love to have you join the quilt along. Comment “quilt” and I’ll send you the sign up link. Confession: since hosting quilt alongs is a lot of work, most (if not all) of the times when I’m “making this quilt with you” it’s actually me doing the work ahead of time so I can get everything done. I already made a bunch of cutting demos. This video is a little sneak peek at the fat quarter cutting demo for working a smaller cutting mat to your advantage. SEPTEMBER SEW ALONG 🪡✨ Week 2 • Part 2! We’re officially SEWING! 🙌🏻 Today we’re turning those strips we cut in Part 1 into our strip sets and then cutting them down into square sets for our checkered quilt top. A few things to remember: 🧵 ¼” seam allowance 🧵 Stitch length around 1.8-2.0 mm 🧵 I’m using Aurifil 50wt 100% cotton thread 🧵 Press your seams toward the darker fabric, this will help us nest those seams later! 🧵 You’ll finish with 4 strip sets → 20 square sets total Don’t worry if you’re just joining us, you can absolutely catch up! You guys!!! I am so proud of us!!! We are soooo far into @corasquilts book Flower Farm!!! I think we only have two months left of the Quilt Along by @fatquartershop !! I don’t know about you but these smaller blocks come together so quickly!!! I am just loving it. I did change one of the star blocks a little because I just used one fabric in it. Can you tell which one I changed?? I hope you are having fun too.
