There’s nothing wrong with a facelift. But sometimes what looks like “needing surgery” is actually loss of volume, collagen, and tissue support. ✨ Before & After: Lower Face Rejuvenation ✨ This beautiful transformation highlights the power of strategic dermal filler in the marionette lines and prejowl sulcus to instantly restore structure and create a more lifted, youthful appearance. As we age, volume loss and ligament laxity can cause shadowing and downward pull in the lower face. By carefully placing filler in these areas, we: ✔️ Soften marionette lines ✔️ Improve the prejowl sulcus (that indentation in front of the jowl) ✔️ Restore smoother jawline contours ✔️ Create subtle lift without surgery To further enhance the result, we also treated the DAO (Depressor Anguli Oris) muscles with a neurotoxin. Relaxing the DAO reduces downward pull at the corners of the mouth, allowing for a softer, more pleasant resting expression. A small amount of neurotoxin was also placed in the upper lip for a lip flip, helping the lip gently roll outward for a fuller appearance without adding volume. 💉 Treatment time: Approximately 45–60 minutes 💉 Downtime: Mild swelling or bruising possible for a few days 💉 Filler longevity: Typically 8-10 months depending on metabolism, product used, and lifestyle 💉 Neurotoxin results: Appear in 3–7 days and last about 3–4 months The result? A realistic look at recovery. This patient underwent brow reshaping, a deep plane face and neck lift, deep neck contouring, fat transfer to the eyes and mouth, and laser resurfacing. These videos were taken within the first two weeks of her healing. She’s not wearing face makeup, only light eye makeup. Mild bruising and swelling at this stage are completely normal. By the two week mark, most patients feel presentable and comfortable returning to social activities, with healing continuing to refine over the next several weeks to months as swelling resolves and final contours settle.
