Have you ever been to River Street Ranch in San Juan Capistrano?
We wanted to go on a quick day trip and decided to explore San Juan Capistrano. Instead of driving, we jumped on the Amtrak from the Anaheim Amtrak station.
The kids loved the train ride, and it drops you off right in front of the River Street Marketplace.
From there we walked over to River Street Ranch, which is such a great spot for families with little kids.
There’s a ton of shopping and food in the area, and it’s fun just walking around checking out all the little shops nearby.
We left around 10 in the morning and made it back by 6, so it turned out to be the perfect quick day trip that the whole family enjoyed.
Did we miss anything while we were there? Should we go back and explore more?

Además, si quieres ver Savannah desde otro ángulo, el Old Town Trolley es una forma súper fácil de recorrer la ciudad (puedes subir y bajar en distintos puntos) ~ desde $40 por persona dependiendo de la ruta que elijas 🚋💸

FUN FACT:
I actually was in a race brawl in this EXACT area on #RiverStreet in my 20’s that started over some white bodybuilder guy in a tank top shoving a black teen onto the cobblestones.
It was on St.Patricks day and it was INSANITY!…first the street parted like the Red Sea with Black People vs White People..then everyone just started wildin’.☘️
Welllll guess who just happened to be in the middle leaving the bar?..ME…annnd my TWO WHITE homies/roommates from SCAD Art College LOL!!!🤦🏾♂️
..we were dipping and dodging and punching and shoving trying to get to the car.
Black people swinging on them and White people swinging on me.
…all because some roid guy didn’t say “excuse me”.🤷🏾♂️

Spend a day with me in Savannah, Georgia ✨
If you only have one day in Savannah, here’s how you can spend it:
- Visit Savannah Handcrafted Jewelry
- Go to Byrd’s (@byrdcookieco) to try some of their cookies. I loved the Georgia Peach Cookie.
- Leopald’s Ice Cream (@leopoldsicecream) may have a line, but it’s worth the wait. The brownie sundae was delicious.
- Have dinner at The Olde Pink House (@theoldepinkhouse) Making a reservation is recommended if you’d like to dine inside the house. However, there is a walk-up wait list where you can dine in the basement area. You can still explore and take photos in the rest of the house, though.
- I’ve never seen a sunset like this Georgia sunset. Head over to River Street at sunset for some gorgeous views.
- The Love Lock Bridge is a must see. If you’d like to put a lock on the bridge, they can be purchased at the Visitor’s Center.
- The fountain at Forsyth Park is a must-see.
- If you have time, head over to JW Mariott on River Street (@jwmarriottsavannah) to see its dinosaur themed lobby.
