Imagine a room filled with aromatics of berries, citrus, herbs, flowers and spice, abuzz with passionate winemakers, and over 100 exquisite Rhone varietals awaiting your exploration! This wasn’t a dream, darlings, but the glorious reality of yesterday’s Santa Barbara Rhône Rangers tasting in Santa Barbara. @rhonerangers The day unfolded like a perfectly crafted blend. First, a fascinating lecture moderated by none other than my friend @mattkettmann 🍷. He led a captivating discussion with some of my favorite local wineries: @samsarawineco @verdadlindquistfamilywines, @tercerowines, @chriscarusowines , @amvwine and @kenbrownwines. These Rhône rockstars shared their expertise, leaving us with a deeper appreciation for the craft. And then, the grand finale! A walk-around tasting extravaganza featuring 24 phenomenal wineries, all from our very own California Central Coast paradise. Santa Barbara County, Ojai, San Luis Obispo, and Paso Robles came together in a dazzling display of Rhone brilliance. Including some of my other favorite wineries @clementinecarterwines @ojaimountain @babcockwinery and a winery that I couldn’t love more and has a special place in my heart ❤️ @tablascreek ❤️🍷 Each sip a symphony of flavors, a kaleidoscope of aromas, a testament to the unique terroir of this unique sun-drenched region, and it made me so proud to be a member of this special wine community!!
