We all have heard and believed most of our lives that bees live in hives while that's partial truth, not all bees live in hives. Solitary bees like mining bees, mason bees, leafcutter bees, carpenter bees don't make honey and they live pretty diverse and wild lives.

Ever wondered why beekeepers mess around with hives?
They're not just poking bees for fun-they're preventing full-blown bee wars!
When bees feel stressed, they prepare backup queens in case their current queen dies.
But if a new queen hatches while the old one's still alive, the hive splits into rival factions.
These aren't just harmless squabbles-one side will kill the other queen or leave the hive altogether.
It's war until only one queen remains.
That's why beekeepers step in fast-either removing extra queen cells or storing new queens safely in a "queen bank."

Native bees in North America are mostly solitary, ground- or cavity-nesting species that do much of the pollination for wild plants and many crops, often more efficiently than honey bees on certain flowers. Honey bee colonies, especially when stocked at high densities, can compete with these wild bees by monopolizing floral resources and potentially spreading pathogens, adding to the pressures from habitat loss, pesticides, and climate change.

Watching every beekeeper in the US getting into their hives to nuke them with chemicals and douse them with sugar syrup and fake pollen while we are patiently waiting for natural blooms so we don't create varroa mite population explosions.
What would happen if every bee disappeared?
Bees pollinate many crops and wild plants. Without them, fertilization and seed production would drop sharply, shrinking plant populations. Food webs would destabilize as herbivores and predators decline, reducing biodiversity and agricultural diversity.

So what happened was their were drone larvae in the lid when the beekeeper did the last inspection , the queen excluder blocked the drones because they are bigger . The drones couldn’t get out.
