I see so many students leave money on the table when it comes to outside scholarships. while it can be tedious searching and applying for them students who do it consistently throughout the year and apply for the less competitive scholarships are the ones that have the best return on investment. but before you search for them, be sure to check with your college to see if they participate in scholarship, displacement or scholarship stacking.  if they do scholarship displacement, that means they will take away financial aid dollar for a dollar based on whatever outside scholarships you receive so in that case it would not be worth applying for them.  but a lot of colleges do scholarship stacking that allows you to receive outside scholarships in addition to financial aid.  applying for outside scholarships can really help with those net out-of-pocket costs! #scholarships #scholarship #scholarshiptips #fafsa #fy
