The good old flour sack exercise. A great way of deepening your understanding the torso.
There’s a new course @schoolismlive ‘fundamentals on character design’ by @woutertulp
Lately some people have approached me saying I’m a good teacher. Thanks, but please check out everything by Wouter.
He’s far more experiences in drawing than I am. And I believe all of you will peak following his courses on @schoolismlive
Will do this exercise again!
But if you do want to learn from me check out my youtube and Patreon!

Here’s another example of my improving my art practice: taking photos or paintings and turning them into **value studies**. This means imagining the scene in black and white and simplifying all the values into just 3 to 5 tones. It's a great exercise to improve the structure and composition of every painting! And then I did a color study with @nathanfowkes' art class on Schoolism – the Color & Light Workout. Getting these pastel colors right was quite a challenge, but it's so interesting to pay attention to the use of warm and cool colors here!

Finally got around to finish my model for the @sonjachristophart class on @schoolismlive
It was a lot of fun!

Hey friends! 🌟☺️
I’ve been having a blast diving into some Schoolism courses recently. I’ve learned some amazing stuff about colors, but you know what they say, there’s always more to discover, right?
I love trying out different techniques and styles, so l’d love to take you on a quick journey through my process for my Summer Girl artwork:
1. First, I began with a simple sketch.
2. Then, I added the basic colors. This part can take a while because I tend to get carried away with color combinations.
3. Finally, I added those finishing touches in the rendering phase.
I really hope you enjoy the final result! #digitalart #procreate #kidlit #kidlitart #schoolism #illustrator #illustratorsoninstagram
