Another one where I get fooled by the bottle color. The saying of don’t trust a book by its cover is true but it is also true to not trusting the color of a bottle of Polish. Both of these polishes are equally stunning and I can always open my pockets for a perfect green. 🖤💜Combo Alert ⚠️ I recently recieved a package from one of my good friends and it was filled with ILNP polishes.....polishes that I've wanted too! Thank you friend, you know who you are. 🥰 Anyway, amongst those polishes was "Electroshock" from the "Twisted Collection". I reached for it sooo fast! It was beautiful, but in hindsight I should have used a black base coat before applying it because it came out lighter than i thought it would. But, at any rate, I love how this mani came out! I am leaning into greens for this shimmery split manicure, featuring my freshly chopped shorties! Up first, on my left hand, is @crackedpolish Murk Murk from @hellahandmadecreations for April 2025, part of the maker's Down the Indie Rabbit Hole series. It is described simply as a luminous light green, but I think it has a green and gold shimmer in a very pale, green-ish neutral base. I did three coats and found the formula to be on the sheerer side, but mostly even. I overworked my brush on a couple nails and ended up creating some patchiness, so I would add an extra minute between coats next time. I feel like this color is giving such a fun, magical, spring vibe (bit of a contrast to the snowy weather I had for my outdoor videos). The shimmer is glowy and even dances a bit in brighter light. The overall look is delicate, soft, and fairy-like.
