DAY 8* Playing around with stylescapes but adding some animation touches. This is my own branding so I had a lot of fun putting it together! I’m adding stylescapes to my branding process but with additional motion design, but also make sure it’s not too much animating before you get into the big parts of a project. . *repost cause I didn’t realize there was 30 seconds of black video on the first one. You guys…Moodboard Monday may have to change to Stylescape Saturday! Playing around with a new way of presenting creative directions to clients by way of stylescapes after learning about them after getting stuck in @thefuturishere YouTube k-hole this weekend. Similar to moodboards, but even more curated (yes, more curated than even my moodboards which already were more curated than most) to really allow a client to see how a certain direction may come to life. Bringing color and fonts to life even more! It’s more upfront work but allows for less chance of their being changes or your client not feeling aligned. Things I focused on for H&J were retro without feeling groovy, bold, playful, fun, not too girly, with Palm Desert vibes. Which are you feelin? 1 or 2? I call these moodboards in the discovery phase ‘Stylescapes’ - I believe this was coined by @thefuturishere and @thechrisdo where you take a moodboard, but take it to the next level by customising it to the client, their target market and potential use cases and mock-ups.
