Ad One extra job I’ve added to our summer home reset as both a GP and a mum. 🤍
Alongside sorting clothes, rotating toys and restocking the essentials, I now take a few minutes to check where coin batteries are being used around our home.
After working in A&E before becoming a GP, button battery ingestion is something that’s always stayed with me. That’s why I’m supporting Energizer’s Summer Safety Swap campaign to encourage more families to *Check. Remove. Recycle. Replace.*
I’ve switched ours to Energizer®️ Ultimate Child Shield™️ batteries, the world’s only coin lithium battery designed to prevent ingestion burns if swallowed, alongside child-resistant packaging, a non-toxic bitter coating and Colour Alert™️ technology.
It only takes a few extra minutes, but it’s one simple swap that gives me real peace of mind this summer.

Lighting installation ✨ in our summer home.
Take this as your sign to start now. 🤍
Your summer home for next year needs to begin *now.*
The homes that feel effortless when summer arrives? They’re being thoughtfully planned long before the first beach day. From the architectural details and custom millwork to furnishings, fabrics, lighting and all the little details that make a house feel like *your* summer escape, creating a home at this level takes time.
At Nicole Bailey Designs, we believe the best spaces aren’t rushed. They’re thoughtfully designed, carefully sourced and intentionally layered over time.
So if you’re dreaming about a summer home that feels elevated, effortless and completely yours next year, now is the time to begin.

In a summer home, where textures are light and tones are breezy, art acts as the ultimate anchor. It adds depth, tells a story, and elevates a coastal retreat from beautifully serene to breathtakingly bespoke.
