What if I told you that there was place where broken hearts were mended & Best friends were made? Oh and YACHT parties! Freshly single with a saw heart & brand new graduate, I was seeking a new adventure. But I was TERRIFIED of solo travel. So what did I do? Join a yacht filled with international travellers that i’d never met to embark on the Sailing festival - The Yacht Week My fears melted away as soon as I met my Yacht Crew. They were epic. We sailed the crystal clear, vibrant blue waters of the Adriatic sea, hopping the islands of Croatia, danced from moonlight to sunrise at Carpe Diem, had a feast in a castle on a hill at sunset and partied everywhere from circle rafts in the sea to land parties in white, floral and neon until we completely lost our voices. By the end of the week I had met my best friends, shared beautiful experiences and fallen in love with me again. Since then i’ve travelled the world with my YW friends, have met amazing people through them - all who of which are now my best friends, w’eve even been back to YW a few times since and each and every single time has been out of this world! TYW completely changed my life for the better ❤️❤️ #theyachtweek #festivalofthesea

I learned the hard way that auto white balance doesn’t always function well. I had no service and did miss some really cool droning opportunities until i figured out how to manually set the shutter speed and ios. looking forward to droning the whole planet so stay tuned ✌🏽 Up next, Italy 🇮🇹 @theyachtweek

Picture this: A peaceful, cosy final night in Split. You’re recovering from a flu you picked up in a hostel, you’ve ordered takeaway for dinner, and you’re checked in for a flight to Dusseldorf. From Germany, you would book a train ticket to The Netherlands to stay with a friend whom you just met a week prior… While Croatia will always rank high on my list of favourite countries, Split was a challenging chapter. Despite all of the friends I made through The Yacht Week and the hostel, I started to feel increasingly alone. Don’t get me wrong: I was grateful to have my own space to decompress. Traveling and exploring is a privilege in itself. However, I know when I feel “pushed out” of a place, and that’s what was happening in Split. Would I ever go back? Absolutely, but not for long. Split is a “passing through” destination, and I wouldn’t recommend anything longer than a weekend here. There are DOZENS of gorgeous, incredible cities and towns in Croatia that are worth your time, money, and energy. In short: Enjoy those “passing through” chapters and destinations. They’re just pushing you to the next page in the book. Bateu aquela vontade de um verãozinho Europeu né?! 😎✈️🏖💙🇭🇷 A Croácia está aberta para Brasileiros (com algumas condições) e a ilha de Hvar é uma destino imperdível pra quem curte praia, águas cristalinas, vibe de cidade pequena, ruelas medievais e festa! Lá tem festas no verão todos os dias! 🥳 Onde ficar: O hotel mais badalado é o Amfora, com essa piscina grande, acesso privado a praia e muito bem localizado as poucos passos da Vila/Marina e do Hula Hula Beach Club. O Podstine Hotel também é uma ótima opção, mais exclusivo e quieto, com praia privada na encosta do Mar Adriático. Se quiser economia, existem muitos Airbnb, só cuidado com a localização para não ter que subir muitas escadas. Quando ir: Melhor época é o verão! A ilha fica lotado de europeus de diversas partes do continente. De Junho a Setembro a ilha fica mais lotada. Em algumas semanas em Julho acontece o famoso The Yacht Week e a ilha fica lotada de jovens, festas e veleiros. Como chegar: O maior aeroporto próximo da ilha fica na cidade de Split. De lá você pega um ferry de 1h para chegar até Hvar. Lufthansa, Swiss, Ibéria são algumas das opções para chegar até Split sem fazer conexão dentro do espaço Schengen. O que fazer: O principal são as praias e diversas ilhas ao redor. Faça algum passeio de barco pelos locais próximos. Visite o centrinho da ilha e o calçadão de Riva.
