If you’re trying to maximize your credit card points in 2026, do NOT make these mistakes 👀💳💸 (coming from someone who has made many of them herself) 💬 let me know your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned for part 2! #creditcard #travelcreditcard #pointsandmiles #creditcardpoints #awardtravel #personalfinance
Here are the 6 rules we live by… 1️⃣ Pay off your credit card every month! 🌱 This is a must. You never want to have interested accrue on a credit card. The points mean nothing if you’re paying 24% interest on a balance. 2️⃣ Know your credit score. 700+ is where the best cards live. 🌱 Know your score before you apply so you’re not taking unnecessary hard inquiries on a card you won’t get approved for. 3️⃣ Space applications 60–90 days apart. One at a time, always. 4️⃣ Track everything — the date you opened each card, when you earned the bonus, and your annual fees. 🌱Especially as a business owner. We rack up a lot of points because of business expenses, but you have to stay organized or you’ll leave money on the table. 5️⃣ Check when your miles expire before applying. 🌱 Some miles never expire. Some vanish in 18 months. Know when you want to travel and match the card to that timeline. 6️⃣ Be aware of opening a new card right before a big loan (house, car). Do this right and the points game is incredible!! 3️⃣ RULES TO BUILD YOUR CREDIT + EARN THE MOST POINTS Once you learn the pattern to building your credit, you’ll feel confident opening a card and feeling like you won’t hurt your chances for the future. We’ve built our credit to be at 800 and I’m not even 30 years old. Usually it takes 10+ years of utilizing credit to have an excellent score. All while earning enough points every year to book trips to see family and see new points of the world. 🌎

CHECK THIS OUT👇 • You have heard about cards that earn points and miles for travel but you have no clue which one to start with, or which one to get next? I’m happy to help! There are SO many cards to choose from but I have a favorite beginner card that I think is the best one to start with! Even if you already have that ONE card that earns you miles, it’s more than likely you are due to open a new one! Did you know you can earn welcome bonuses again anywhere from 24-48 months (depends on the card) from the last time you earned it, well now you do! You can either downgrade that card to one with no annual fee or cancel it and wait 30 days before applying again. 💳 • Don’t be afraid of credit cards, they are not the enemy when used right! Everything you used to know about credit cards was not entirely accurate and now I know what actually affects your credit score and which things are more important than others. If you are like me, you were told to only have one credit card or you will ruin your credit, that simply isn’t true. Pay off all balances every month and space out new card applications by 90 days. Earn sign up bonuses and use those for nearly free travel! I am telling you this can be done while maintaining excellent credit while allowing you to travel more!👏 • ‼️ Comment FAV CARD and I’ll share it with you! • Click that FOLLOW button so you can learn how you can do this too! 📲 @travel.on.points.withdre 🌎 @travel.on.points.withdre • #travel #traveltips #travelgoals #travelsavings #traveldeals

No, I haven’t ruined my credit score, accumulated any credit card debt or paid a cent in interest. What I have done by opening a new credit card every 2 months is I’ve collected over 7 million points that paid for 15+ amazing vacations with my family. Here’s what breaks my heart: I see families spending $2,000+ per month on groceries, gas, bills, getting NOTHING in return, and then dropping $5,000+ in cash for their vacations staying in mediocre hotels and flying crappy budget airlines. Don’t worry, I’ve done it too. Until I found out there is a smarter way. Credit card companies are literally PAYING us to travel. Your everyday expenses can generate enough points for flights and hotels for your entire family. You are already spending the money, so why not get the vacation too? I’ve opened over 100 credit cards for me and my family. I’ve helped my students do the same and finally take their families to places like Hawaii, Mexico and Caribbean that they never thought they could afford. While most people (including me in the beginning) waste years collecting random points from random credit cards, I’ve created a step-by-step system specifically designed for families, that will help you book your first vacation on points in 90 days. If you are ready to stop paying cash for family travel and actually use the money you are already spending, comment “FAMILY” and I’ll send you the link to get started.

Let’s maximize your rewards! As an accountant turned points and miles educator I am passionate about helping others learn how to turn their everyday expenses into points they can use to travel more for less! Debt free! No interest! While improving your credit score! The quickest way to earn points is to open a NEW credit card offering a sweet welcome bonus. When you put $4,000 on a card you already have you’re likely earning 4,000 - 8,000 points If you put that same $4,000 on a NEW card you can earn 80,000+ points That’s 10-20x more points! When you’re not earning a new card bonus I recommend focusing on maximizing the rewards you earn on the cards you already hold. ❓So which card should you use when? I’ve simplified that thought process and shared the TOP CARDS (and runner-up options) I recommend for each of the following purchases: 🍎 GROCERY STORES 🍱 RESTAURANTS 🛒 COSTCO ⛽️ GASOLINE ✈️ TRAVEL 🌍 INTERNATIONALLY ☎️ CELL PHONE SERVICE 📦 ONLINE 🏠 HOUSING 📌 OTHER EXPENSES It’s important to keep in mind that certain cards include additional protections for certain categories of spending - all of which is taken into consideration in my recommendations. Comment “TOP CARDS” below to receive a DM with a link to that list! . . . #creditcardtips #maximizerewards #smartspending #bestcreditcards #creditcardstrategy
Here’s the deal 👇🏼 You need to swap that debit card for a travel rewards credit card. Listen, I knowwww you think credit cards are bad. I’ve been there. We used to pay for everything with our debit card, too, because that’s the most common thing to do. And we knew that credit card debt was bad, so why would we use a credit card? Well, do you know what all that debit card spending got us? Nothing 😂 Now we know better!! Instead of using a debit card (ours literally sits in a drawer now), we put all of those *exact same expenses* on new credit cards, then earn the big welcome offers. And you know what THAT gets us? Thousands of dollars a year in free travel 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Here’s the process: 👉🏼 Open a new credit every 90 days or so. 👉🏼 Put our *regular spending* on it and pay it off in full each month (so important!!) 👉🏼 Earn the huge welcome offer and use those points to book flights and hotels. 👉🏼 Rinse and repeat!! We’ve taken dozens of trips worth over $100,000 by doing this 🤯 And it’s not too good to be true! ❌We’re not racking up debt (just putting our regular expenses on the cards). ❌We’re not tanking our credit scores (they’re over 800!) ❌We’re not doing anything illegal 😆 🔥Comment MAGIC and I’ll DM you with more info about how we do. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👋🏼 Hi, I’m Jenna. I love helping families learn how to travel more for less money using points and miles! ❤️ Follow along @thetravelinghansens to learn more. #familytravel #budgettravel #travelsavings
