Nothing in this life is guaranteed - it’s the moments that count. Make every one of them special!! Like daytrippin’ to #NYC with my son and nephew on Monday. Especially when the destination is lunch with friends who are like family, and then a visit to #TimesSquare to see our @soundcloud #Billboard that ran for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend!! These special moments are what the holidays are all about! And I loved being able to share it with my extended family @inayaday & @stevetravoltanyc also! 💖💖

The music business is like the wild wild West, and after 3+ decades, it feels amazing to still believe in the magic of what it can be. This moment was magical because of all the people around the world who have loved, and supported this song for so many years. For the generations that have made it their mantra , and for the generations to come. 🙏🏽
This one defined a moment 🎤
Ultra Naté’s “Free” dropped in ‘97 and took house music global.

🔊 If you know me, you know I’m gonna dance 💃🏾🪩🤣 it’s my therapy! So after my lovely set @revival.bklyn , I scooted over to @718sessions @goodroombk @bennysoto to catch a boogie with the rest of the family! @dannykrivit & @iamhexhector slaaaaayed the kids all night! 🗡️
I mean…left NO crumbs, you hear me?! So the phone was away but I grabbed a lil live moment at the end of the night, to wish everyone a HNY from one of my sanctuaries - the dance floor. 💗

The system is broken-we all know it. As artists’ we’ve gotten fleeced with every business model… CEO’s of music streaming platforms are no different, taking all the revenue and now working to replace artists with AI. It’s a jungle, and at some point it will break even further. You the listeners, consumers, fans will ultimately decide if artists can sustain a living in a system designed to dehumanize and disenfranchise. Streaming is here to stay, but also consider downloading your favorite artists’ music, supporting physical product (when available), and live tour dates! ☑️
As a COMPLETELY independent artist, label and producer, traversing 3.5 decades -I thank you for keeping me here. Thank you for making my music, vibes and energy - a part of your lives even in this tricky place.
There are so many choices and alternatives with over 100K songs released digitally every week! We’ve never been in this situation before as an industry, but in this finite moment, all I can say is THANK YOU for supporting me, my classic hits, my new albums “ULTRA” / “ULTRA (Deluxe)” and independent collaborations - even in this imperfect system. ❤️❤️❤️
