🇯🇵 10 things to do in Tokyo ⬇️
There’s no city quite like Tokyo. From towering skyscrapers to bustling markets, serene temples to glitzy neon signs, there is something for everyone.
🌤️ Shibuya Sky - observation deck located by Shibuya Scramble Crossing.
💫 TeamLab Planets or Borderless - interactive digital art museums with galleries of immersive installations.
🚶♀️ Shibuya Scramble Crossing - fun place to people-watch as it is the largest pedestrian crossing. Located in front of Shibuya Station - estimated 1000-2500 people crossing at once.
🗼 Tokyo Tower - symbol of Japan’s economic growth. Used to be the tallest building in Tokyo until Tokyo Skytree was built in 2012.
🐟 Tsukiji Outer Market - market containing seafood, vegetables, traditional food materials. It is touristy and expensive, but worth checking out at least once.
🗻 Mt. Fuji Day Trip - take the train to Lake Kawaguchiko for sights of Mt. Fuji. Take caution as Mt. Fuji is only visible on clear days!
🏮 Senso-ji Temple - in the historic Asakusa district, this is Tokyo’s oldest temple.
⛩️ Meiji Jingu Shrine - this shrine is a peaceful retreat in a forested area with colorful display of kazaridaru or sake barrels.
🛍️ Harajuku - trendy district with Takeshita Street at its heart, lined with vibrant fashion stores, colorful boutiques, quirky shops, and cafes (and crepe stores).
🍣 Sushi Omakase - chef curated course meal made fresh in front of you, where every bite is a masterpiece.

❌ Using Google to find restaurants
✅ Do this: Use Tabelog app, reviews are more reliable. Find hidden gem restaurants (💯 mark = best restaurants of the year)

Day 1: Exploring Tokyo 🗼
First stop, Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple in Asakusa. As we walk through the iconic gate, the rich history unfolds where incense burns and the atmosphere feels timeless. As you walk down Nakamise Street Try an ichigo daifuku which is a true Japanese delicacy.
Next, we refuel at Hat Coffee a small, cozy café where they make 3D lattes, it’s best to make a reservation.
From there, we dive into the heart of Tokyo’s urban vibe at Shibuya Crossing, the world’s busiest intersection. The organized chaos of hundreds crossing in every direction is a must-see moment.
But the best view comes from Shibuya Sky. From this rooftop observation deck, especially breathtaking at sunset. Make sure to reserve your ticket in advance as sunset tickets sell out.
To end the day, it’s time for a bowl of udon at Udon Shin. where the handmade noodles are to die for. Head to my blog post for tips on getting a seat here.
Day 2: Disney Sea Magic 🪄
Today, it’s all about fun and fantasy at Tokyo DisneySea. It’s truly unlike any other Disney park in the world. Be sure to snap a picture of the enchanting Ariel’s castle, grab a Mike Wazowski melon bread for a sweet treat, and don’t miss the famous gyoza dog—a delicious park staple!
Day 3: Modern Art, Shrines, and Night Vibes ⛩️
We start the final day at TeamLab Planets for a mesmerizing digital art experience with tons of immersive rooms to experience. Then, we head to the peaceful Hie Shrine, known for its stunning Torii gates.
A stop at the unique Kitasanda Garage Coffee for a pick-me-up, followed by a stroll through the majestic Meiji Jingu Shrine and Yoyogi Park.
The evening takes us to Memory Lane for traditional street food, before ending in Shinjuku to visit the Kabukicho gate and see the famous 3D cat billboard.
Happy to answer any questions you may have! What else would you add to this list fam???
