At the Global Leadership Council, Ajay Banga, President of The World Bank Group, offered optimism that we can transform the outlook for young people 🌐. “There are 1.1 billion young people coming of age in the Global South in the next decade, but right now, we are not creating enough opportunities for them, projections suggest we’ll only generate 325 million jobs. Fortunately, forecasts are not destiny. We can turn the tide. It will take hard work, proven solutions, and your support. We need to do much more to develop foundational skills like literacy, harness technology advances and provide training for skills that are needed in growing economies. This is a mission critical at the World Bank.” Together the World Bank, Generation Unlimited and public-private-youth partners are dedicated to building sustainable pathways for young people to flourish with #SkillsRightNow to effectively transition from learning to meaningful livelihoods. #InvestInPeople

Menurut data World Bank Group Finances, selama periode 2014-2022 Bank Dunia telah memberi utang ke pemerintah Indonesia sebesar US$15,67 miliar. Jika dikonversikan ke rupiah, saat ini nilainya mencapai sekitar Rp235 triliun (kurs Rp15.000 per dolar AS). Jumlah utang Indonesia ini merupakan yang paling besar dibanding negara-negara Asia Tenggara lain, yaitu Filipina, Myanmar, Kamboja, Laos, dan Timor Leste dengan rincian seperti terlihat pada grafik.
