This is Valley!🌳🌱🪴 The dramatic, geology-inspired, plant-covered Valley stands out in Amsterdam’s Zuidas neighbourhood with its three towers of 67, 81, and 100 metres and its spectacular cantilevered apartments. Named the best new skyscraper in the world, the building distinguishes itself in several ways. It combines offices, shops, catering, cultural facilities, and apartments in one building. Unlike the closed-off buildings elsewhere in the Zuidas, the green valley is an open structure with the fourth and fifth floors being accessible to everyone via two external stone staircases. Nadat contentcreator @folkert_slump (26) tijdens zijn studententijd met huisgenoten had samengewoond in de Leidsestraat en de Albert Cuypstraat, kon hij zich via via inschrijven voor een huurwoning van 40 vierkante meter op de zestiende verdieping van The Pulse op de Zuidas; een multifunctioneel complex met kantoren, appartementen en culturele voorzieningen, zoals een bioscoop. De Zuidas voelt meer aan als Manhattan dan als Amsterdam, zegt Slump. ‘Tot je mijn appartement binnenkomt; ik heb hier vrij uitzicht over het Amsterdamse Bos, het Olympisch Stadion, de landingsbaan van Schiphol én de A10. Iedere avond geniet ik van de zonsondergang.
