Why is no one talking about the chi machine.

It works by moving your ankles in a figure of eight oscillation while you lie completely still. That movement travels up through your whole spine, decompressing each vertebra as it goes. It also activates your lymphatic system, which has no pump of its own and relies entirely on movement to circulate. Most of us are sedentary enough that our lymphatic system is sluggish for most of the day. Ten minutes on this does more for lymphatic flow than hours at a desk.

The other thing it does is increase oxygenation of the blood. The spinal movement and the rhythmic oscillation together create a kind of passive full body activation. You get off it and your legs feel genuinely different, lighter, less heavy.

I’ve been pairing it with red light at the same time because if I’m lying still for ten minutes I might as well stack it. Red light at this range is stimulating mitochondrial activity and collagen production while the chi machine is handling circulation and lymphatic drainage. Completely passive. Completely horizontal. Genuinely one of the better investments in my recovery toolkit.
